    alphadi88 – Very nicely explained, impressive. Yes, Buddhism has nothing do with these amulets. It is only a path to cross the life cycle and put an eternal end to all sufferings. It is called Nibbana.

    An amulet in this context is basically a religiously connected object (can be a piece of thread, clay image of monks/religious figures)that is supposedly to have been chanted upon or blessed so that it affords the wearer/carrier a protective spell from physical and spiritual dangers/elements. The believe in amulets is very rife in Asian countries, especially Thailand and is erroneously associated with Buddhism. generally Buddhism doesnt subscribe to this form of amulet beliefs.
